Mission Statement
The Harmony House / CASA is an organization dedicated to providing an environment of integrity and respect. We are committed to objective advocacy focused on the best interest of children while fostering healthy, positive and permanent family relationships. The La Porte County and Pulaski County CASA Programs advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in court. We promote and support quality volunteer representation for children to provide each child an opportunity for a safe, permanent, nurturing home.
Objective
The objective of the La Porte County CASA Program is to provide La Porte County Circuit Court, Juvenile Division, Superior Court No. 1 and Superior Court No. 2 with trained volunteers. These volunteers are to act as advocates for children who are under the court jurisdiction due to abuse, neglect, or custody disputes and to monitor court orders. An additional goal is to strive for permanency in the life of each child.
